Dixon Place presents... On Tuesday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m., Dixon Place will be presenting a 30-minute segment from my play-in-progress 2Y20M (Two Years Twenty Minutes). In 1991 a crew of eight were sealed into Biosphere 2 to conduct the largest closed-system experiment ever devised or attempted. Two years and twenty minutes later they emerged: skinny, triumphant, controversial, celebrated, and maligned. This is one story of their before, during, and after and what it meant for conducting science on a grand scale. Tessa Borbridge, McKenna Cox, Stephen Dexter*, Lori Gardner*, Dean Imperial, David Meyers, Jason Nuzzo*, Bernard J. Tarver*, Jessica L. Vera*, and Jenny Zerke will be reading a 30-minute excerpt. (Yes, that’s a cast of ten.) Come hear about the adventures of the Biospherians and have a beverage with us in The Lounge!
This originally appeared in the March/April 2016 issue of The Dramatist. If you're a DG member, you can link to the whole issue (it's excellent) here.
